We visited Bates Nut Farm to pick out pumpkins in mid-October. It was HOT – 95F! Poor Jacob was so hot he didn’t even ask to go on any rides. He just wanted to pick a pumpkin and go home!

We finally made the trip out to Sue and Harvey’s cabin and were well rewarded for our efforts. Beautiful views, a comfy place to stay and great company! Bonus points for our rental car that made it there in one piece and the local wild life that did not try to eat me
